You might have noticed at the top of the site it proclaims this to be the woodblog 2.0? Well yes there was, and indeed still is, a woodblog 1.0 and Google Blogger is still doing a very good job of hosting it for me here.
For the sake of a strange sense of continuity, and because I’m quite pleased with this, I will repeat the very first post I made to the woodblog 1.0 here in the woodblog 2.0:
The Internet-Prayer of Humble Access
We do not presume to come to this thy internets, O merciful Blogosphere,
trusting in our own righteousness,
but in thy manifold and great content.
We are not worthy so much as to gather up the comments under thy blogs.
But thou art the same Blogosphere, whose property is always to welcome more content;
Grant us therefore, gracious Blogosphere,
so to read the words of thy dear blogs, and to view thy photostreams,
that our sinful comment may be made clean by thy comment,
and our posts washed through thy most precious feeds,
and that we may evermore link to thee, and thee link to us.
Amen
